About Us

Clifford Fong was born in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up he spent his time around New York and in Europe. He studied Art History in college. His early interest in fashion came from diverse surroundings and his inspiration finds its roots in many things from nature to science fiction films. A decisive turn towards fashion was taken when he became a buyer for Fred Segal and then for Maxfield in Los Angeles. The experience then acquired allowed him to consult for different fashion companies, to freelance as a stylist and to work as a production designer. Besides his involvement in Chatav Ectabit, Cliff designs interiors and curates collections art, furniture and ceramics for distinctive clients. He lives and works in Los Angeles.


Sandy Dalal was born and raised in New York. He spent his teenage years around the textile and manufacturing industry. He developed an interest in fashion that led him to found Sandy Dalal Ltd in 1996 and to host his debut fashion show in New York a year after. His namesake collection garnered him different awards including the Council of Fashion Designers of America's (CFDA) Perry Ellis Award for Menswear in 1998 at the early age of 21. He was then successively appointed as Creative Director for the men's collections at Byblos (Italy) and ICB (Japan). After spending three years in Italy were Sandy Dalal collection is manufactured, Sandy came back to New York where he lives and works.
